About me

My background

I am a qualified Humanistic Counsellor with a focus on relational dynamics.

I began my counselling training after having worked within the fields of education, working with children and adults with learning disabilities, family support work, as well as sexual health and relationship education.

Within my counselling experience I have worked with a wide range of client groups, including further and higher education settings. I retain a passion for working with people on the 'edges', and am particularly interested in working in the area of talking therapies for people with learning disabilities.

Alongside my private practice, I am also a visiting tutor and examiner at the Metanoia Institute on the Humanistic Counselling course, and have a strong interest in group and training work.

I bring warmth, energy, and openness to my counselling work.

Education and training

  • Diploma in Humanistic Counselling, awarded by the Metanoia Institute in 2015.

  • BSc in Reflective Therapeutic Practice, awarded by Middlesex University in 2015.

I also have a BA in Philosophy and I sometimes reflect on existential themes within our work together.

I am a Registered Member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), and I subscribe to their Ethical Framework.

I am in regular supervision with an accredited supervisor who oversees my clinical work.

I also have an entry with the Counselling Directory, an online list of registered counsellors, which you can see for more information here.
